The UN has declared 2026 the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists. Pastures and herding practices are guardians of precious ecosystems, ancient traditions, and historical knowledge that develop in perfect harmony with the natural environment.

    • Where: Park Headquarters Conference Hall, Cogolo

    • Details: Curated by Salvatore Ferrari, in collaboration with the Val di Sole Study Center.

 

Guided Hikes & Themed Activities

Field experiences to discover nature and local flavors.

  • Milk Stories: Hay, Encounters, and the Scent of Cheese

    • When: Friday, July 10th, 2026 – 2:30 PM

    • Meeting Point: Peio Fonti, main square.

    • Details: A walk with agronomist Francesco Gubert, in collaboration with the Peio Turnario Dairy and Slow Food.

    • Booking: Required by 12:00 PM on the day of the activity. Free event.

  • Mountain Pastures: Synergy between Flora, Insects, and Humans

    • When: Friday, July 24th, 2026 – 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

    • Meeting Point: Peio Paese, bus parking area.

    • Details: A field analysis of the interactions between the environment and human activity with entomologist Nicola Orempuller.

  • The Cultivated Landscape: Synergy between Man and Nature

    • When: Friday, August 28th, 2026 – 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

    • Meeting Point: Peio Visitor Center.

    • Details: Transfer by private car to Strombiano to walk the Linum Trail in collaboration with the Val di Peio Ecomuseum.
