From the meadows of Valpiana, a trail winds into the shaded heart of the forest, leading to Lake Barco, a jewel of pure water nestled among the rocks of the Adamello-Presanella range. For us who grew up in the upper valley, this lake is a symbol of childhood: running barefoot through the damp grass, lazy afternoons spent counting clouds. A place where the scorching summer gives way to the cool embrace of the mountains.
