Located along the Alta Via degli Alpeggi trail (from Celentino to Ortisè), the Museo Laboratorio dell'epigrafia popolare is housed in the renovated stables of Malga Monte. At 2160 m above sea level, the museum acts as the high altitude gateway to the Piccolo Mondo Alpino Eco-museum on the eastern edge of Val di Peio. Set in a breath-taking landscape, it shares extensive meadows with the neighbouring municipalities. Wall-mounted info panels in the main stable hall illustrate the shepherds' solitary lifestyle through epigraphs and fragments of classical texts. In summer the museum is opened daily by the shepherd whose sheep graze in the adjoining meadows.
