fera de cogol

The cows are the absolute stars of the event, which culminates in the traditional "Fera de Cogol," a livestock exhibition showcasing animals from every small farming community in the area. Each farmer presents their best cows, which are evaluated based on various criteria, and one of the participants will have the honor of being crowned "Miss Val di Pejo." Last year, the title was deservedly won by Kersyn, a two-year-old calf from the Bianca Bernardi farm in Celentino.

the parade

The engaging parade of cows through the village streets represents the return from the alpine pastures and is one of the most colorful moments of the festival. Each farming family, dressed in traditional attire, accompanies the livestock, adorned in every detail with particular care. It is a moment full of colors, cheerfulness, joy, and pride, a journey that represents the priceless value of rural life in mountain communities.

Palio of the Hamlets

The Palio of the Hamlets is the exciting and eagerly awaited competition between villages that compete in performing traditional tasks such as hay and wood cutting. Dressed in typical costumes, the inhabitants show their pride and passion in keeping the roots of our community alive. The latest winner? The hamlet of Cogolo! Who will be next?

educational farm

Val di Pejo always warmly welcomes the little ones. During the festival, children can get close to the animals at the educational farm: they can pet the lambs, observe the chickens, pigs, and rabbits. In drawing workshops led by the artist Simone Ferriani, children can unleash their creativity by drawing the farm animals and inventing unique stories.
