WHAT TO EXPECT/ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
The "Magic of Wool" workshop for adults offers the opportunity to learn needle felting with wool and create original decorations such as hearts and gnomes. Guided by the skilled hands of the Women of the Ecomuseum, participants will experience this artistic technique, creating unique and personalized works. It's a relaxing, therapeutic, and social experience that allows participants to express creativity and socialize with others. Working with wool is therapeutic and can help reduce stress, promote emotional well-being, and improve concentration and mindfulness.
INTERESTING FACTS/INFO
One of the interests of the Ecomuseum of Val di Peio "Piccolo Mondo Alpino" is the enhancement of local textile fibers: wool and linen. The workshop is set up in the Ecomuseum House, inside a room entirely lined with Swiss stone pine wood, a faithful reproduction of the ancient "stue" (stube). Visitors can admire the perfectly functioning replica of the ancient loom from Casa Grazioli and some educational looms that trace the thread of history
